• Why is water coming from air conditioning unit?
  This is normal. When the unit is in cooling mode it also dehumidifies the air. The water is then collected and removed either by gravity or a pump. If the indoor unit is heating, water will from the outdoor unit.
• Do Air Conditioning units heat?
  Yes! Many people don’t realise but air conditioning units can provide heat and they are very efficient in doing so. They use a special valve to reverse the refrigerant cycle. They can provide heat even in freezing conditions.
• How big are the units?
  Typical domestic wall mounted units are usually around 800×300 mm with a depth of around 300 mm. They are installed on a high on a wall to work most efficiently. There are other types of units too. Ceiling suspended, ducted for a hidden installation and floor mounted. Domestic outdoor units are typically 800×800 with a depth of around 300 mm. Good air flow is required, generally an array of 1m² around the unit would be enough.
• How does air conditioning work?
  Air conditioning units absorbs heat through a heat exchanger. This heat is then transferred, through pipework, to an outdoor unit which has another heat exchanger. This is where the heat is rejected.
• How long will the installation take?
  It all depends on where we install the indoor and outdoor unit in relation to each other. The pipework in-between can often be the most time consuming. A typical one-unit installation would take one to two days depending on the pipe runs.
